1916 — 1918 D IVa (FF 1686, DF 260) 260 PS
A large 6 cylinder engine developed to have a low frontal profile. Notable for having 4 overhead valves (2 intake, 2 exhaust) as well as domed piston heads(though this provided only a compression ratio of 4.6:1). A single carburettor provided inadequate mixture control for such as large engine.
