fra: The Morning Bulletin 15. november 1932

GERMAN RAILWAY'S NEW FLYER.

A speed of 93 miles an hour will be attained by the motored car which the German Railroads Company expects to be able to put into service on the Berlin-Hamburg run at the end of this year. It is now being equipped with two Maybach Diesel motors of 410 horsepower each at the Maybach Motor Works in Friedrichshafen, and experimental runs have already been made with one motor, the lessons of which will be applied ill finishing the car.

Outwardly the new car represents a completely new type. Projecting parts have been done away with wherever possible to reduce the air pressure, the running gear is enclosed almost down to the roadbed, and even the usual buffers with round tint face have been replaced by pointed fenders.
